Financial Assistance

We often are asked about how Premier Adoption can help a birth mother throughout her pregnancy. Premier Adoption can, in some cases, provide financial assistance to a pregnant birth mother once an adoption plan has been made and she reaches a certain point in her pregnancy. There are many laws about how financial assistance can be provided and they vary state by state (see financial help laws)

If we cannot provide assistance with a need personally, we often are able to help with community resource referrals to help with the need.

The ultimate goal of financial assistance is to ensure that the birth mother and her baby are safe and healthy throughout the pregnancy and after she has given birth.

When I told my boyfriend about my pregnancy he told me to move out. He said he wasn’t the father and didn’t want anything to do with the baby. I didn’t know what to do or who to trust. I never thought I would ever be at a place where I would consider adoption for my child. I am 25 with three kids already. I had planned on going to college and getting a great job before I had kids but when the first one came I had to make ends meet and my plans were put off. I thought I would be on welfare for just a few months but kept getting pregnant and needed the help. When I told my mom I was pregnant this time she suggested I look into adoption. When I called Premier they didn’t judge me. They helped me understand that adoption is a loving and responsible choice and doesn’t mean that I don’t love or care about my baby. I know that I can’t give him what he needs right now. I can barely give my other kids what they need. At least with this baby I know he is in a safe place with parents who can financially do for him what I can’t. I feel really good about my decision and know I did right by my child.

Premier was awesome! They totally helped me through every stage of my adoption. I was really scared when I called to ask them to help me but I instantly felt comfortable when I talked to Catharine. I knew I called the right agency and was going the right direction. I got to pick the adopting parents for my baby. They are amazing people! My daughter is so lucky! Sometimes I wish my daughters adoptive parents would just adopt me because they are everything I wish my family had been. They send me letters and pictures several times a year and it is great to see how big she is getting! I would recommend Premier Adoption to anyone who is considering adoption. They are great to work with. My counselor was very caring and listened to what I wanted. I am really happy I went with Premier.
